Originally from Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, James has been a Chicago area resident for 25 years. He graduated from Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. James has won several Merit Awards from the New York Society of Illustrators, A Citation of Merit from the Chicago Artist Guild and Print Magazine Award of Design Excellence. He has exhibited at the Daley Center in Chicago, Point Gallery in Naperville, IL, Fieldstone Gallery in Door County, WI and had his art included in a Japanese National touring show.
James is also an official artist for the United States Air Force, traveling internationally with the purpose of recording the history of the Air Force.
